NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 is here!

Finally, GeForce 9800 GX2 has arrived. A sandwich G92-based card is NVIDIA's answer to AMD's 3870 X2 and AFAIK the second multi-chip card from the green camp after 7950 GX2.

Various sites have posted their reviews of the card:

Anandtech
Firingsquad
NVNews
TechPowerUp
Driverheaven
TechARP
Elite Bastards
Guru3D
PC Perspective
TweakTown
Toms Hardware
Hardocp

From a brief glance at those benchmarks made by AnandTech, I can see that 9800 GX2 performs very close to doubling the performance of 8800 GT. Remember this also brings more than twice the price of 8800 GT and nearly doubles the power requirement (195W against 105W). I do agree however that AnandTech should have included 8800 GT SLI performance into the benchmarks, which will make more sense for any potential buyers of both cards.

It's no doubt that only gamers with hi-res LCD monitor (I'm saying 22" and above...that's quite demanding!) will see the real benefit from this card. As always, happy gaming...for a $600 more!
